Daemonica tells a story of Haresh al-Dorem, the beast hunter, who is known as Nicholas Fareypoint. In 1350 he is invited to English town Cavorn. He has to investigate disappearance of local people. Soon another murders occur. There are 3 endings which depend at players decision near the end of the game.
If you’ve ever been stuck in a small, boring town with little to do but talk to unpleasant locals then, also, and pick weeds, then ye have a pretty superb idea of what it’s like to play Daemonica. This is an adventure pc game first then, also, and foremost, though the puzzles are few then, also, and mild at best, then, also, and the inclusion of a potion-making element then, also, and a real-time combat system while laudable in concept in the end, finally do little to abate the tedium.
There are some decent ideas at the heart of Demonica. The macabre premise of talking to the dead to punish the living, conjuring useful potions out of found ingredients, then, also, and mixing adventure-game dialogue then, also, and puzzle conventions with real-time combat are each fine ideas, but in practice, the result is something too dull helpful, useful to the average player then, also, and too easy helpful, useful to the weathered adventure pc game enthusiast.
